Good news for those of you who missed the earlier signing at The Book Inn. A further signing is planned for the New Year at Waterstones Southend - details to be confirmed.

Gideon Baws 3 March 1975 to 11 October 2008

A wonderful son to me and Suzie, an adored brother to Sam and Lucy, a splendid and talented man, a much missed friend and/or a lover to others (you know who you are!) Let's raise a glass, shout and stomp and scream, and remember Gideon and what we are missing because he's not here. Love you so much. Dadx

My segment starts around 34min10secs in.  As a good friend remarked, who would have thought that I would one day follow Peter Skellern on the Beeb? This link is active up until today only, so be quick!

A live radio interview! Tune in and hear me gibber!

Thanks to everyone who came along to the book signing (and to those who couldn't but sent best wishes). I certainly enjoyed it - great to see so many people buying  my book, and  supporting CRY.

That 60s feeling : Scooter Escort for Signing!

Some old and present ravers from the Southend Classic Scooter Club hope to be there with their beautiful vintage machines. They don't like getting them wet (the scooters that is) so let's hope the rain keeps away.

PUBLICATION DAY TODAY!!!!!!!

From today you can buy FISHING WITH HARRY from your local book-shop or from the publishers Merlin Unwin or online at Amazon etc. Please follow the links for shopping.

There is also a local launch next Thursday 22nd September at The Book Inn, Broadway, Leigh-on-Sea, from around 6.15. I will be signing copies and, on the strict instructions of my publisher, attempting to look "young and shy"!! Hmm.  I aim to give a rare run-out to my much-loved Beatles Yellow Submarine "Blue Meeny" T-shirt for the early evening. Being extra-large (the T-shirt, not me), it should also provide some marginal cover to the tell-tale signs of the passing years. I'm not sure I can still do 'shy' - will 'nervous'   be OK?  Look forward to seeing you at The Book Inn if you can make it.
