More vitriol Vicar?

I am attempting a synergy between Facebook and my blog. There is no doubt that I am an irascible bastard; self-confident to a point of self aggrandisement. As an only child, I probably suffer from infantile omnipotence, but well, there we are.

Rather than spew all over a site where many prefer sycophancy, fawning and looking at pictures of food  and cats (not for me) and dogs (maybe me), I direct you here, at the cost of another click or two. Here, in the privacy of my shady blog, I can hold forth on all manner of matters  without fear of contradiction unless a) I open this up for comments - which ain't gonna happen, or b) you go back to Facebook and slag me off there. See if I care! Sticks and stones and that.

So as not to waste your time, there are some basics you need to know (apart from me being an irascible bastard etc.)  In no particular order, these are other attributes/defects/positions of mine that spring to mind:

I am Jewish, proud of my heritage and culture, proud of, and grateful for, the existence of the State of Israel. This does not make me blind to its problems:

I am an aggressive atheist. I only have one belief, which is that if you cannot prove something scientifically, by empirical observation and repeatable experiment, subject to peer review, then what you believe is either fiction, fancy, fallacy or bullshit - or possibly all of these things:

I believe - indeed know - that leaving the EU was a huge mistake. Not for economic reasons, but because it degrades our humanity. Any way we humans can co-operate is good, and any way we choose to split apart and amplify our differences is bad. The idea of 'taking back control' is just another way of saying "Empire! Enger-land!", so redolent of "Ein Reich, Ein Volk, Ein ....."   I refuse to be a part of that:
